Beaster
Descrizione
A trail inspired by the steep and tight turns of the Tweed Valley in Scotland. Many trails in Nesbyen are fast and direct so this trail has been created to contrast that with many tight, steep, technical turns interspersed with some high speed sections.
Beaster = British Easter trail (referring to the man behind this trail, Brit and Nesbyen local biker and trail builder Will Gibson, and the neighbour trail Påskestien / Easter trail)
The trail starts out with a short traverse across the hill before arriving at the real entrance. You are immediately dropped into it with the steepest section of the trail, a handbuilt sandy brown snake which twists and turns down a spine of the mountain, if you survive this first part then you'll be flying on the rest! After this you hit an old logging trail where you pick up the speed and drop some elevation quickly. The rest of the trail is based on this logging trail with sections of handbuilt turns and jumps to keep you on your toes.
Keep your eyes open in case of any changes! The idea with this trail is to build as many corners as possible so the builders may have been back since the last time you rode to add in a couple of more turns where you least expect it!

To ride this trail, there are three access alternatives:
1. Cycle up (or shuttle parts of) the gravel road that begins north of town / Alfarvegen (https://trailguide.net/4434).
2. Cycle up the gravel road from Rukkedalen to the start of the trail Påskeekstra and follow it to Beaster.
3. Cycle from the top of Espeset, via the trail Påskeekstra.
