Augsæter runden

Description

This round goes north and east of Hafjell, past several idyllic hamlets, through mountain forest and partially crosses the tree line. The trip is best suited for the somewhat fitter cyclist as it is 40km long with hilly landscape. The Augsæter round goes on a dirt road and is a perfect trip before an electric bike.

Start at the top of the gondola and head towards Øvre Moksjøen. From here you start along the cycle route, cross Hornsjøveien and cycle towards Rognhaugen. At Rognhaugen, turn right and follow the gravel road to Hornsjøen. Here the dirt road turns west and you will follow it all the way to Lisetra where you can see the top station of the gondola on the other side of the valley. Follow the cross-country track back to Hafjell..
