Hafjellrunden

Description

A relatively easy round trip from Mosetertoppen. The cycle tour is mostly on dirt roads and tractor tracks.

Description: This tour starts with a short hike from the top of the Gondola up towards Snaufjellet and Moksjøen. From there to the right into the mountain on a gravel road over marshy expanses into Sjøsætra. The road to Pellestova continues on a hilly gravel road. Turn right at Ilsetra and follow the seat road through Nysetra and down to the Mosetertoppen, the top of the Gondola.

There is no signposting for the entire Hafjell round, except here a follower gets the GPS track. The first part of the trip can be followed by signs towards Moksjøen.

Feel free to visit Sjøsetra and experience Norwegian seat operation on the road. Follow the signs at the Sjøseter crossing, continue all the way to the end of the road where you see the setra. Here you can meet different animals and milk cows during the evening grooming. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for guests and you pay NOK 100 for entry, which also includes a waffle and coffee/juice.
