Dugurdsnatten

Description

Dugurdsnatten is 902 meters above sea level and is a peak that can be reached from the center of Gol.

The hike up is relatively long in unexciting forest terrain. The trip takes three hours including a lunch break and starts at Gol Station. Walk past Gol Motor and Fritidspark west of the station. First follow a forest road, then there is a path marked Dugurdsnatten.

It's going up all the time, but you don't get a view until you're up. Then the view is impeccable. Gol center in the foreground and Hemsedalsfjella in the background, is a great sight. If you want a slightly longer trip, you can follow the marked path behind the heights and further west towards Mjelhovd. If you are still keen, you can go further west towards Benketjern and Benkejuvet. Here there is a marked descent down to Mobrua. Then follows a forest road to Gol Stasjon.

The nature on top of the hill here is, so to speak, completely untouched. A couple of cabins are the only thing.
