Description

When the weather is clear, you can glimpse Høgronden, the Gjendalpen between Bygdin and Gjende, Nautgardstinden and many other Jotunheim peaks, Hardangerjøkulen and Høyåsen by Halden.

The trip to Høgevard can either be taken from Tempelseter in Eggedal, from Norefjellstua at the ski center on Norefjell or from Gulsviksætran and Toveseter. The latter requires that you have reached Toveseter on foot first. The trip from Tempelseter and Norefjellstua are the most popular, and are described here. If you have children, we recommend starting from Tempelseter.

From Norefjellstua at the ski center on Norefjell: Starting at Norefjellstua, follow the path in a steady rise towards Ravnås, which is passed on the west side, and follow the path upwards to Augunshaug. Then cut inwards to the Norefjell ridge to the cabin Høgevarde. There is little water on this route, so remember to bring water. Return to Norefjellstua the same way.
