Øvre-Ål-runden

Description

From Solhov community hall, west of the schools, follow the road up to the right, signposted to Ål Bygdamuseum. First on the road, then on the trail. From the museum, follow the main road upwards and turn left at the first intersection (towards Primhovda/Kvinnegardslia). Follow this road to the first road junction, turn right towards Hove.

Feel free to stop at Jazzcafèen for a coffee. Follow this tour back down to the museum. Follow the ladder back to the parking space, or follow the main road back down.

Alternatively, you can follow the museum tour through the village museum. A nice and educational trip. Follow the green arrow signs and gradually the "naturstig" sign. The natural path leads you onto the path which you should follow up to Øvre-Ålsvegen. From the junction with signs towards Hovet, follow the tour description as above.

Access: From the center of Ål, follow Sundrevegen westwards past the church, up to the school grounds. Drive a little past the schools until you reach the sports hall. Parking at the school/sports hall
