Le creste
Description
The crests is a 5 km long cycle path, which connects the Termini, an area located above the Perinaldo tunnel, to the Giro Marzocco curve. During this route you can enjoy a spectacular view of San Remo. Starting from San Romolo, head in the direction of the animal farm, pass it and after about 500 meters you will find yourself on the main road that leads to the Perinaldo crossroads, keep right and continue for about 2 km. At a certain point you will find a fire track on your left that goes up with a fair slope, take it and continue for about 300 metres, you will arrive at a crossroads. Once you reach this point, turn left, by doing so you will take the path of the crests, then keep right going up, this path meets several branches, so to maintain the right direction continue staying on the "ridge" of the mountain, up to the crossroads of Monte Caggio . At this point you will find yourself on a wide dirt road, leave it to turn left at the crossroads under Monte Caggio, the path continues with a slight downhill slope and with a good flow, and then arrives at the foot of a section to be done bike on the shoulder, 50 meters and the path starts downhill again with very fun stretches of fixed rock. You will arrive at a crossroads, here you can continue in two directions which will converge a little further on, on the left the more fun side characterized by a descent among the chestnut trees, once you reach the end turn right and you will reconnect to the main track thanks to a short connection in climb. If you have decided to take a right you will keep the original track, which is also the shortest route, an up-down path that continues on the ridges. Continuing you will find sections alternating with climbs and descents before arriving at Monte Carparo which dominates Sanremo, this destination is often reached by those who practice paragliding, so you may happen to witness the spectacular launch towards Sanremo. Once you reach this point you will find the signs on your left to reach the "Giro del Marzocco", a curvy and completely downhill path that will take you back to the main road.
