Description

Nice trip through varied terrain. Almost everything can be cycled, both ways. Personally, I think it's best from south to north. Great to be dropped ashore at the ferry terminal in the south of the island, and to be picked up again at Dragsund, in the far north of the southern part of the island.

Chat GPT:

"Håøya, the largest island in the inner Oslofjord and a scenic paradise off the coast of Frogn municipality, Norway. With its location between Oscarsborg and Gråøya, Håøya offers a unique experience of nature, history and recreation. The 5.6 square kilometer island has a varied landscape with beautiful forests, lush meadows and idyllic beaches.

Håøya is an eldorado for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. Explore the protected areas and discover the impressive wealth of flowers that flourish thanks to the herb gardens established by Mariakirka in Oslo in the 15th century. The island is also home to a variety of wildlife, including moose, deer and a rich birdlife, including the majestic sea eagles that returned to the island in 2008 after a 126-year absence.

For history enthusiasts, Håøya also has a lot to offer. Explore the historic bunkers and buildings that bear witness to the island's role in the defense of Oslo, along with Oscarsborg fortress. Walk in the footsteps of the soldiers of the past and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the defense of the past."
