Rainkopf

Description

Beautiful scenic, but blocked, rather difficult path for technology enthusiasts.

From the summit of the Rainkopf head north to a saddle just before the Chalet Refuge Luis Herges. Here sharp right and back into the forest. The path goes slightly uphill at first, but not easy to drive, along the slope. The forest here is covered with moss and could be the scene of a fairy tale. The switchbacks are relatively easy to drive, not very steep, but the trail is repeatedly interrupted by blocked sections, some of which are very difficult to drive on. In May 2016 there were also a few trees lying across.

From the next crossroads, turn left to the lake and the flow will be smoother again. Over the dam wall and a path with large loose stones down to the valley.

Access

From the valley via forest roads to the Col du Neurod. Then slide along the back and onto the Rainkopf via trails.
