Description

Beautiful, long, moderately difficult, partly alpine trail for good physical condition.

From the Göflaner Schartl, which is relatively easy to reach, the trail runs eastwards along the ridge. The ground is mostly stony but rather firm. Despite the alpine terrain, the gradient is moderate. After a few blocked sections at the beginning of the tree line, forest soil and roots dominate from Kreuzjöchl. In between, the terrain becomes steeper and the trail crosses the road several times. Those who want to save themselves the short intermediate ascent to the Perlenegghof can descend a bit on the road.

From here the trail traverses up and down the slope to above Morter. The last 200 meters in altitude meanders downhill in simple hairpin bends. You have the option to go to the village or, like this variant, to drive the Rautwaal. The end point is still to drive over the Montani castles or the beer cellar trail into the valley.

Access

On the road the Martelltal to Gand. To the right, the road leads to almost 1700 m, then a forest path and the last 300 meters of altitude carry the bike.
