Kirkesteinen enduro
Description
One of the best enduros by miles! Begins on rocky slopes at Buråsen, straight through the remains of a village fort, then sharp right. Here there are some tight bends and hooks/drops that can be rolled if you wish. After that, speed and flow increase on the changing barnål path and rock. Be aware of several sharp stone edges you have to cross. After a while it flattens out a bit, and you have to pedal a bit if the speed is to be kept high. You will come to the Kirkesteinen itself (it is impossible to miss it). You are going to the left/below it. Now the path disappears again downwards, a few tight bends before it opens up again. Once again, watch out for minor crux. Soon you will meet a wider path/old tractor road. Take a right turn. Here the path opens up properly, you get good speed and it's easy to get air under the wheels. Be careful if you meet hikers. At the bottom of the first dump, it can be a little wet after rain.
Brake up in plenty of time before you get to the road!
This can be used as an alternative if you are going up Buråsen. Some sections push bike up to Kirkesteinen, but from there on up it is fine to cycle if the technique is good and the strength does not disappear.
