Svartskog rundt

Description

The path takes you from the northern tip of Svartskog at the entrance to Ingierstrand and south in Svartskog and back again. The tour takes in all types of terrain from baby needle paths, via ridges and down into valleys. This is a round where you mostly work all the time and contain little rest. At the same time, it is a terrain without the steep ascents or descents. You have visited Oldtidsveien several times

The tour's first highlight is Kruttmølleåsen, then Dellingsdalen and you follow Oldtidsveien on your way in the direction of Roald Amundsen's home. Then follows a short transport on tarmac, before it again leads out onto paths. You have to go through a message gate before continuing south to Kjærneshøgda, where you turn around and start the journey north again. You cycle on relatively easy paths and onto a short stretch of gravel where you pass a farm yard before turning left and entering the path network again. Then follows a short stretch of asphalt past the church and down to Vestenga Sports Field. You can find the path again at the north end of the sports field. Even if the track goes off to the left early after Idrettsbanen, the recommendation would be to continue straight ahead for a couple of 100 meters before turning left past the gap that eventually appears. From there, the path follows the high-voltage power line (line path) where you finally end up at the parking space at Ingierstrand.

Access

The path starts at the very north of the ridge. From 1 car park you have to cycle along the main road back towards the bridge and the marina approx. 300 m before the path starts on the right, where it rises upwards.
