Description

Mostly old timber tow with the exception of the first 100 metres.

Here it is partly technical barnacle style down to the water, and a little up towards the log tow

After that, there is good flow all the way down.

There are a couple of bogs that can be a little wet, as well as some rocky ground that can be slippery when it rains a lot

It's also easy to cycle up

The only challenge is the top 100 meters both ways

The pictures show how it is all the way. The Barnål picture is from the start, and there it is narrow, steep and winding between trees which is the challenge

Access

From the top: Tåråfjellveien on the west side of Notodden.

Up past the last house, past the barrier and the first road to the left

The sign - Stamstjønnvegen

Cycle past the water and take the first left before Veletjønn

Follow the road almost all the way to Vihussetra.

Same start as the path to Kolbotn

From the bottom: The raft route to the top.

Left road by the mailboxes, then right before the houses.

A little up the hill, the path goes up to the right (not quite up to the end of the dirt road)
