Holkebylia til Nipkollen
Description
The trail starts at the top of Holkebylia in Maura. At the start, you follow the ski track towards Nordåsen. Gradually the path turns up to the left. There are quite a few meters of altitude to manage up to Nipkollen (544 m), but it is mostly possible to cycle the whole way. The substrate is a mixture of forest floor with elements of roots and loose rock.
It is well marked with signs along the entire path. During the last kilometer before the summit, you come out onto a gravel road which you follow for a short distance towards the summit.
From Nipkollen and back down you get a very nice flow and reward for the meters of height you stepped on the way up.
Access
Possibility of parking at the top of Holebylia. The path starts on the right side of the road as you drive down towards Maura from the roundabout at the top. It is marked with a sign at the start of the trail. From the roundabout at the top to the start of the path, it is about 50m.
