Teterudstien (SS5)
Description
A technically easy trail, but very fun trail. Requires some treading. Not recommended when wet. In the summer, the grass grows tall and thick along parts of the path, which reduces visibility.
From the dirt road (shared with Espesetstien, SS4 and Påskestien), turn off at the sign for Teterud. At the start, you follow an overgrown cart track for about 300 metres. Balancing on planks laid down in wet areas, these can be very slippery when wet. Eventually transitions to path. The substrate here is smooth with a mixture of baby needles and hard-packed soil. Good speed and nice flow are keywords that can be used :)
Access
From the center of Nesbyen, you cycle towards the Nesbyen alpine centre. You cycle past Hallingdal Folkemuseum and the road climbs upwards. After a few bends, the road flattens out, and you come to a bridge that crosses the river Rukkedøla. Here you turn 180 degrees to the right and cycle up a dirt road that has a barrier at the bottom. You follow the road upwards for approx. 300 meters. Take the carriage road / path marked Teterud.
