Ustaoset-Prestholt

This is a nice path with a fantastic location under the Hallingskarvet. Steep up along cottage road up from the center of Ustaoset. The hiking trail is well signposted to Prestholtseter. Some demanding sections with some rocks and two steep bends where you probably have to roll the bike, but otherwise the stretch is perfectly possible to cycle. The trail also works in the opposite direction.
On arrival at Prestholtseter it is good to take the packed lunch, or perhaps buy food and drink. Remember to take into account hikers, of whom there may be many on this stretch; - slow down, smile and say hello.
If you want to cycle further, trips to Urundberget, Geilohovda, Tuftelia or Vestreim are recommended. The last one takes you into Budalen.

From Prestholtseter past the stolen and through the gate, then to the left
The start of the trail is also easy to find from the center of Ustaoset, where you first follow Nyestølvegen and then turn right up Bismivegen.
