Djupsjøen - Høgevarde
Description
Traversing between Djupsjøen - Tempelseter on roads and trails, then climbing from Tempelseter to Høgevarde. From the Tempelseter area follow gravel roads to the top of the cabin village. Enter the hiking trail at the south end of Langås ridge. Continue on the ridge until you cross the main hiking trail towards Høgevarde. Note: You´ll actually cross two creeks and two hiking trail until you are on the western side of the Tempelbekken creek. It is fine to take the hiking trail on the east side of Tempelbekken, but the smoothest and dryest track follows the western side of Tempelbekken. Stay on this trail until you reach the saddle, Raudmyra, between Ranten and Høgevarde. Continue (no GPS track uploaded for this part) on the easily visible hiking trail towards the top of Høgevarde. After reaching the summit, return to Tempelseter, or continue on nearby trails towards Norefjellstua or Norefjell Spa and Resort.
Access
Start from the Djupsjøen road, or from the Tempelseter area as you wish. Starting from Tempelseter gives you the best biking experience and a fantistic ride towards Høgevarde peak. The section between Djupsjøen and Tempelseter is more of a practical transport segment, and not the same good biking as towards the summit.
