Nufstjønn - Haaberg

Notodden, Telemark, Norway
2.7km|37m ◢ ◣ 181m|15.08.2019

Description

Varied path from Nufstjønn just above Bondo to Haabergveien in Heddal.

Technically starts around Nufstjønn to the south end (300 metres) - over roots and narrow between trees. Challenging, but children's needle trail.

Marsh at the end of the water which is decent to ride before you get onto an old log tow. Here there is a nice path, and a lot of vegetation in some parts. The surface itself is flat and fine, but it is difficult to see due to grass, small trees, heather etc.

After 1.6 km you will come to a fork in the road. Here it is on the right, although it is not so easy to see. The road straight ahead goes down to Stiviveien.

To the right and 150 meters on a wide grass path to a logging field. There it is up to the left. Two choices - the end of the barnål path or the bog path - they meet after 15 metres.

Then comes the best part - 600 meters with a nice children's needle path, with a couple of technical challenges.

The last is a slightly challenging descent of 150 metres, before you have a flat, somewhat muddy tractor-road to Haabergveien

Access

Stiviveien and up to Bondo. In either of Bondo it's up left, then left in the next two parts. Then you see Nufstjønn from the crossing.

Can also get there via 2 paths from Seljordsveien

Nedre del er mye barnål-sti med god flyt
