Frierstien

Description

The trail is varied and demanding. Most of it is easy to ford, short sections of the route have large amounts of roots. Opportunity for a glimpse beyond the view over Grenlandsbrua. Fun and varied trail, with technically difficult descents, fast sections on smooth, fine ground.

You can find the start of the trail in Brevik at the Dammene parking lot. Asphalted road up from there until you get a little way up. Follow the road until you come to a dammed pond after it starts to flatten out a bit. At Dammen you will find a bench and a sign describing the fauna, the dirt road turns sharply to the right and you are on the Frierstien.

From the Herøya side, you can start at the gate to the representative residence of Hydro Herøya, follow the road that goes south. The path goes after 3-400 meters behind some houses, almost seems like you are cycling in the garden of the houses. Further on, you enter an alle', which is part of the Path
