Italien Val Ferret Balcony
Description
It starts with a 250m zig zag climb. After that you get rewarded with some of the best singletrack there is. Continue to Refuge Walter Bonatti. Here my track go up in direction to Col de Malatra - I did't get all the way up to the pass because it was to icy (it's 900 extra vertical meters - it's a nice rice in the Malatra valley, but you need to push your bike the last hundred meters). If you skip Malatra, or come down from it, you just continue the track on the other side of the refuge. Keep going on this nice trail all the way to Refuge Bertone. Here you have two choices - the easy one is to go back Leuchey and down to Planpincieux, or take the steeper and more technical trail down to Courmayeur.
Access
You have many choices to get to the start point. Drive into Val Ferret, take the local bus og bike into the end of the road to the parking at Arnuva. The trail starts next to the houses.
