Description

"Norway's best trail?" Asked Terrengsykkel magazine when they visited Nesbyen in 2019. This is definitely a must-try for all dedicated cyclists. The first machine-built downhill trail in Nesbyen offers large dosages, several (optional) jumps and generally very good flow. The first stage (Traversen) is built by hand. Around the middle of the upper part you will find the "mountain line" with many alternative lines. Incidentally, there are alternative lines in several places - and all demanding elements can be avoided. The whole trail can be rolled without jumping, but for those who like to go a bit further there are plenty of opportunities for air.

When you get down to the dirt road (Midtlivegen), the path continues down the open logging field. The path gradually becomes gentler downwards, and the last hundred meters before the end at the asphalt road (Vassfarvegen) have a blue grading.

What does the name mean? "Den Ravinde" means "The rapid" in the local dialect (Halling).

Trailhead Nesbyen and Any Excuse to Ride offer both guiding and shuttling for those who want to get the most out of their cycling day. Read more here: www.visitnesbyen.no/shuttling-og-guiding/.

"Den Ravinde" was built in several stages from 2016 to 2019, and has received gaming funds and support from Nesbyen Municipality and Tråkk n Roll.

Den øvre del av Den Ravinde er formet med tilkjørt grus, mens nedre del er bygget med naturlig stedsmasse. Begge deler er veldig morsomt å sykle på!

Markus Finholt reported the conditions at Den Ravinde as very good. Fantastic grip and beautiful work thats been done on Ravinde. Now it only needs to have the bottom section finished and a few berms fixed and it's perfect.5.sep.2023
JohanRR reported the conditions at Den Ravinde as good. Amazing trail, without a doubt the best trail I've ridden in my 3 years of riding. There is a lot of brake-bumps though before all of the turns but it isn't a deal-breaker for me, otherwise the trail is in good condition. I rode it on the 3/8 in the morning and 2/8 in the afternoon. There was people working on the trail today on the 3rd so look out but they let me pass by.3.aug.2023
Lars Wraae Jensen reported the conditions at Den Ravinde as good. 20.may.2023
Peter Seidl reported the conditions at Den Ravinde as very good. All trees removed.23.nov.2021
