Bukkebu-Sandåa - nedre sti
Description
From Bukkebu, choose the lower trail to the west (starts along the fence and heads downwards). Slightly hilly terrain with some sections that require some technical skill over rocks and some roots. After crossing a stream, you cycle across a grassy area and turn right up into the skau (about 50m before you reach Sandåa). After a couple of hundred meters upwards, you come to an open space where someone has camped with a fire once. Here the path continues to the left parallel to the river. The following area is a bit challenging with deep tracks, but it's easy to cycle as long as you have control of the front wheel :-) Ny bekk, after it the path is easier again, and after a few hundred meters you reach the ski track approximately where it crosses Sandåa. Here you turn right and follow the path towards Bukkebu. This path has been improved and is fairly easy and you get good flow. Be aware of grazing animals. After a good 2km you will arrive at Bukkebu.
Access
From Tverrbygda you drive Breistulveien. Remember to pay at the barrier that comes after about 100m. There are several possibilities to park towards Bukkebu.
