Liaberget - Krossen

Description

First part of the fantastic descent from Liaberget to the bottom of Bronsdalen. In total, this will be over 4 km with a downhill path and approx. 450 meters in height. The first part goes on a varied path with both flow, stones, roots and rocky sections. Halfway through Cairka, you cross directly over the path that goes from Visdal/Valbjør over towards the Slate Quarry. Then the path becomes somewhat narrower and more technically winding, but here there is flow all the way. Eventually there is a sharp hairpin turn to the left. Be careful not to drive down the sight Krossen (a wooden cross) which suddenly appears in the middle of the path.

Access

Up from Øvre Nordheradsveg: Follow either the tractor road that takes you up over pasture a hundred meters or so below Valbjør. When the tractor road splits, turn left, and when this road becomes a path, turn right. Follow the path past a gap and eventually there is a sign for Liaberget. Alternatively, you can pick up from Visdal at Øvre Nordheradsveg. Take through gate and across pasture. Keep left. Eventually you will come up on the tractor road from Valbjør.
