Description
Long descent directly into the ancient center of Dolceaqua.
From the top you have a great view over different valleys and all the way to the sea.
The trail starts a bit wild, narrow accompanied by gras and bushes. Then the terrain opens up and a fast trail with cool turns, berms and compressions comes up.
After traversing a bit on the gravel road, a more rocky section begins with lots of steps, switchbacks and also some loose stuff.
The lower part begins after the church and offers great corners, steep sections and also lots of rocks.
Please respect the ban of bikes in narrow streets of the village center and push your bike through.

Bjørn Jarle Kvande rated Alpicella good. Upper part is mostly compact sand or dirt. Middle part is steep technical switchbacks in slippery rock - too difficult for my taste. Really cool entering into the old town if Dolceacqua. Be aware biking not allowed in the city, so walk your bike. 2.mar.2020
