Dimma - Åsebøvatnet - Vereide

Description

30 meters past the car park at Dimma, the path turns off to the left, follow the markings through the ditch at Dimma and further up towards Åsebøvatnet. The path goes straight up all the way to Lake Åsebøvatnet. Follow the same road back down to Dimma.

Down on the dirt road again, you now turn left up the hill. After a few hundred metres, a tractor road turns off to the right, follow this to the end at a cabin. Here continue the path over Langhamrane towards Føleidsstøylen. Good flow and speed.

Just before the noise, Folkehøgskulen has marked a new path, follow the markings that turn off to the left.

Furthermore, the path traverses over Føleide. Some trilling must be expected, but no more than that the ending is well worth it. After a while you come to a felling area where you look straight down on Føleide, here the Folkehøgskulen has cleared steep technical serpentines upwards to gain height. If you are in extremely good shape, it is probably possible to ride these all the way up.

At the top of the logging field, the path enters a dense spruce forest. There is no path here in the first place, be aware that the path is indistinct, follow the markings. After a good bit of bar path, you meet a forest road, cross this and follow it on the left, here the path goes up a bit again before the raisin in the sausage comes at the end. The path now ends at the bottom of the E39

Access

Drive E39 past Sandane towards Eid, turn off at Vereide, signposted to Føleide and folkehøgskulen. Follow the gravel road to Føleide, where it meanders down towards the fjord and takes the toll road to Dimma, follow this to the car park.
