Skrelia

Description

ATTENTION: Be friendly and do not make tracks in the moss that grows on the rocky outcrops outside the paths. This will lead to a bicycle ban by the municipality.

Skrelia is a fantastic place that you should definitely try if you are in the area. Svabergflot so it lasts and great scenery. The trails are not particularly long, but can be cycled for example 2 laps. The path(s) can be cycled both ways, but I prefer to cycle to the waterfall and around (between Sandvann and Bergevann and up to Homsvann). This GPS track is a bit criss-cross as there are so many fun lines you can ride.

Finally, you can cycle down along the waterfall and all the way down to a romantic spot by the lake. You can cycle on both sides of the waterfall, but if you cycle on the right side, you have to cross the waterfall further down. If you choose the left side, the descent starts with a drop that gets bigger the more water there is. You have to walk/cycle the same way up again, but it's worth it, I promise.

Access

From Lyngdal, you drive 464 until you hit 653, here you turn left. Drive about 1km until you come to the exit on the left onto 558. Follow this road for about 9km until you come to a car park where the trail begins. There will be some signs for Skrelia along the way.
