Storsteinsfjell fra Landfalltjern

Description

Possibly the best of several rounds for Storsteinsfjell. Fun path from the view in the direction of Eiksetra.

From the parking lot south of Landfalltjern. Follow the road towards Tverken and further towards Skimten. At Tverråsjuvet turn right over sleepers to the walkway up to the plateau. Follow the path over the marsh until you reach the ski slope. Turn right after 20 m and follow the path to Skimtvann. Follow the path around to the bathing area and further north until you pass a cabin. Turn right (west) at the next junction and follow the path down and then up past the cabin Sætervang. Follow the path further over rock and keep to the right at the signposted junction. When do you enter a loop that leads to the viewpoint on Storsteinsfjell.

Follow the path further towards the cairn (nordorver) and you will return to the signposted junction. Turn right after 20 m and follow the path until you reach the tractor road/ski track after 2 km. You are now close to the Eiksetra ski lodge. Go diagonally across the river and onto the path again. Then follow the tractor road/ski track up Dritarbakkene (well-chosen name) to the top and follow the ski track to the left. Keep the path to the right, which eventually descends to the ski slope again. Follow the ski trail until you come to a cross-country ski trail by marshes. Keep right down Tverråsjuvet and turn left onto the path at the bottom of the gorge. Follow the path to Steinkjerringa (possibly keep left when you cross the ski slope for a fun path towards Myrdammen), left at the next intersection and back to Landfalltjern via Myrdammen.
