Årdalsåsen rundt.

Description

At the start there is a reasonably steep path up. The path has changed somewhat, due to the risk of landslides. Cross two bridges, then turn right just before you come to a staircase that leads up to Årdalsåsen. The path turns right about 20m before a dirt road. You will eventually come out onto a dirt road (with some buildings). Then follow Bjørkedalsveien, about 500m, then onto the dirt road straight ahead of the railway crossing. The path continues directly below the settlement. Cross the level crossing. You will eventually come out into a field.. then keep to the right until you have passed a farm yard. Cross the dirt road, onto a tractor road. After a few 100m you will see a railway crossing on the left. From here, it's a bruise. You will eventually come to a 3-part junction. Follow the lower path to the right. Blue marking against Svinholt. When you get to the farm Svinholt, keep left after the barn. Then follow the path towards Svinholtdammen. From here it is blue marked back to Årdalsåsen/Moheim. This part of the trail is a bit demanding at times. But is cyclable. Eventually you will come to a junction on a downhill slope, here you turn left and cross a stream. The round is best suited for trail bikes.

There can sometimes be a lot of people on the path up towards Årdalsåsen, so be considerate here :)

Access

There is the possibility of parking at Jysk/Bygger'n Moheim. The path begins directly behind the building for Misjon ut Grensern. Follow the blue-marked path up towards Årdalsåsen.
