Sortland, Nordland, Norway
11.5km|534m ◢ ◣ 532m|09.06.2017

The preliminary route up to the construction road wind mill park Ånstablåheia will be completed as the ascent to this lovely downhill on singletrack all the way down to Ånstadalen, without particularly technical sections, here they can be used normally mtb

Drive past Sortland camping, right after 30 zone, parking will come to the light trail on the right. Follow the light trail northwards after the campsite, take a left to the zig zag forest path straight ahead when you cycle past a detached house and on to Klubbelva climb, cycle out onto the road after the water works (red house) turn right immediately after the sweeper and follow the path to the left around the roundabout until you reach a forest road that leads to various paths up Ånstablåheia with pushing a bicycle 200 meters in height, Downhill it is recommended to take the path/tractor road that starts 100 meters down to the construction road , continue straight down until the steepest part, they take a path at an angle to the left towards the main path which continues downwards, when this disappears a little keep heading towards Sortlandbru/strandheia across the marsh to a new forest road towards Ånstadalen and on towards Ånsta/Sortland camping`good trip

Peter-Jan Donders rated Ånstablåheia 503moh very good. Some parts look like Africa with special kind of trees 😁. Going down first part is amazing and then after a while there’s is no real trail anymore. So it will be an adventure, we used navigation and gpx from the trail, but no trail 🤔. With some navigation skills you will find your way back, last part is good trail again 13.aug.2020
