Gjeving Skole - Skibvika - Heller - Langhei - Gjeving Skole.

Description

Starts steeply up from the school, take the first road to the right up the hill, continue to the path to the left at a cleared area. Follow the path up to the old hill pool (white, low building where the path exits). Continue straight ahead past the altitude basin, follow the path over the klopp (imp. materials). Continue until you come to a stile made of three round logs, cross it, and soon after a slightly indistinct path branches off from the main path, to the left. If there has been a lot of rain, it is recommended to continue the main path towards Langhei, because swamp. Eventually, after a rocky "uphill" section, you will come to a rock with two signs. Follow the path half left, towards Skibvik. here there are several technical parts, the first after approx. 300 m, past large rock. Follow this path until it comes out on a cart road (after a rocky descent), turn immediately to the right. Then follow this straight ahead, (DO NOT turn right at the next junction. You can, but it will be a shorter, and not so nice trip), along the old road/path, until you come to the new sign "Gjevingmyra/Brenningskjær" follow the signs. You will eventually come up to a felling field, follow the tractor road to the left for approx. 100m, to a junction (path left, scree right) Take the scree and continue to Langhei and home. Here and there there are some blue marks in the trees, but they can be difficult to see. Take a printout of the map/download tracks. Good trip!

PS: If you are cycling to Gjeving, you can go straight ahead at the Brenningskjær/Gjevingmyra trail sign, and exit at Norrmannvik/Dypvåg, if you are tired.. ;-)

Access

Follow FV 411 from Tvedestrand to Lyngør. after approx. 18km you come to a crossroads, turn right towards Lyngør, continue to another crossroads (speed bump), turn right at the sign "Gjeving School". The school is closed, park there.
