Skimtrunden fra Landfalltjern over Pintleiken

Description

One of the classic summit tours in Bragernesåsen with a long and fantastic descent back again. Skimten is a peak located in Drammensmarka, on the Skimtplatået between Lier and Drammen municipality in Buskerud county. The peak is 553 meters high.

Access

The parking lot at Landfalltjern. Follow the ski track/gravel road up towards Tverken. When you pass the cottage Steinkjerringa with a large stone cairn on the right hand side, turn inward at an angle to the right. Follow the path on the rock and needle path to the left up to Tverråsjuvet and over the sleepers to the right again. Push the bike up the stone pile and follow the path on the right side of the water, right again up the hill, over the marshy area and further up to Skimten (sign) via the ski track. Enjoy the view from Skimtvarden.

Go back 100m along the same route as you came to the nearest cairn and take the path straight ahead down the rock (can you manage the stone steps?) and follow the blue path with the signs for Pintleiken. Lots of fun flow and little jumps here. When you come out again onto sloping rock, follow the blue markings to the right/downwards. Here there is a nice technical section that can be cycled all the way. Turn left in the next part of the path (following the roots) and come out on the road after a few hundred meters and several small technical parts. Over the road and down the path, over the bridge and straight ahead for a kilometer and you are back at Landfalltjern.

Apart from the last descent at Pintleiken, this is a moderately easy trip. It is easy to walk the technical parts
