Slick path on an old tractor road. Ties together many paths in Ranheimsåsen and is therefore a great starting point for a Ranheims tour. Can be cycled well both up and down. After heavy rains, parts of this trail become quite muddy.
Essentially an easy trail that can be cycled by the vast majority. The last (possibly first) part towards the gravel road that goes to Koltjern is a little more demanding, but this is very short.
The first section from Steinsetbygdvegen is now destroyed by logging activity, but I assume that a new path will be established quite quickly as soon as the logging work is finished. By the way, it's quite fun to cycle in the tracks of the logging machines.
From Steinsetbygdvegen: (upwards) Look for signs to Koltjern, Karihuskampen and Kvernatjernet, the path starts here. If you are coming from Koltjern: Cycle down the gravel road on the north side of the lake. After a few hundred metres, there is a sign for Kvernatjerne where the path takes off.
