Tylldalsbua - Gaupskardet

Description

This trail offers both good flow and some technical sections. Recommend full damper. Starts from Hokstadkjølen. The first part of the path is a typical high mountain path with good views. Continues into varied terrain with some wet sections, until you reach Tylldalsbua. Then it's just a matter of continuing south and uphill again with good views and more flow on the path. Gradually the path points down again from the snaufjellet and into the forest. Here you can either turn around, or enjoy a partly steep, slightly technical, but most of all really fun descent on nice baby needle trails. The last part of the trip goes on a tractor road, here it is possible to enjoy at great speed. Ends at Gaupskardbua where you can either be picked up, or cycle the national road north, stop by Matrkroken to fill up your energy tanks, before pedaling up to Hokstadkjølen again back to the starting point

Access

If you want to cycle from the village, you can park at the shop in Tylldalen, cycle a few hundred meters south along the national road and then turn right towards Hokstadkjølen.

If you take the car up towards Hokstadkjølen, you can park at the start of the path (toll road, paid with Vipps)
