Mandria - Resy (TMR)
Description
Here you have a trail that has everything. An absolute gem of a singletrack that takes you from narrow singletrack filled with rock above the treeline, through meadows, on top of ridges, down old winding stone trails, and ending in a thick pine forest 500 height meters further down.
The trail starts off narrow with embedded rock. Cross below the "La Mandria", then cross the dirt road and get up on the ridge. There is a small climb before the trail takes you down to the ski piste. It continues on the other side of the piste, crossing the bridge. From here the trail takes on a more flowy character with the possibility for high speeds. After you get onto the ridge and over it, there is a cross. Take a right here and make your way to the "Rifugio Guide Frachey". There is a small climb to get up there.
The trail continues just above the rifugio where it turns to a steep, narrow, stony hairpin track. Good luck clearing that one without putting your foot down. In the next cross, make a right. This will take on onto a dirt track covered in pine needles, embedded rocks, roots, and a few hairpin turns added in for last minute difficulty.
You are dumped onto the road that will either take you down to Saint-Jacques or up to the tracks "Beau Bois" (https://trailguide.net/1039), or if you have even more power, up to "Lago Blu" (https://trailguide.net/1038)
Access
Take the Frachey Funicolare and then the Alpe Mandria lift if open. Otherwise, pedal up.
