Description

Nice path from Damtjern past Løvlia to Gagnumseter.

On a summer night at Krokskogen, Asbjørnsen gets lost when he gets to the north end of Heggelivannet. He was then going to continue to Åsa on this path. This is the old road from Åsa to Oslo. They came down Sørkedalen. Vakerseterveien is also, as the name indicates, an old seat road from the farms in Åsa to Gagnumseter, Heggeliseter, Vakerseter and Gråseter. Sverre Grimstad writes in his book that the oldest danger went north of the Atjernmyrene.

The path can be cycled round trip, as a long ride through the fields to Sørkedalen or via the blue-marked path between Løvlia and Langebru. If you want to cycle round trip from Damtjern, it is recommended to turn around at the top at Signeberget (the Knabben cabin at Bukkemyra) before heading down to Langebru. If you want to cycle down it, you can cycle in to these cabins from Løvliveien.

Access
