Åsgardane (Supagail!)

Note! Many walkers from central Gol here.

Fantastic floating path down to the center of Gol, which offers high speed, deciduous forest, baby needle paths, and delicious little jumps and dosages. It is rumored that this is the NM downhill course once in the 90s.

From the car park at the top of Åsgardane, turn right where there is a sign for the center of Gol. Follow the path until you bump down onto a dirt road. It starts with a bit of rock and preferably a bit of slippery foliage and then it turns into the most delicious barnacle path with natural jumps and dosages quite quickly.

When you come down to the gravel road, cross the road and take the path further, keep left at the first intersection and you will come to a red cabin. The path continues on the underside of this and eventually turns steeper downwards. Follow the path until you come down to a junction, the path continues straight ahead and you eventually come out on an asphalt road that takes you down to the center of Gol.

Buy yourself a coke and an ice cream.

Since this path is so close to the city centre, bear in mind that there may be walking uphill. It is also quite steep in some places so try to avoid wear by not locking the rear wheel. The trail should be cycled in dry weather.

Access

Drive FV51 towards Golsfjellet until you reach Åsgardane. Turn right onto a gravel road and then take the first right again. There is a parking lot. Directly below the car park is a path sign down to the center of Gol.

Alternatively, you can park in Gol and cycle up FV51.
