Description

Le creste is a 6km long trail and rough fire road that connects the Colle Termini di Bajardo, Colle Termini di Perinaldo and Monte Carparo.

If you do not mind the occasional brutal climb and rough fire road, this is an absolutely amazing trail that mostly follow the crest of the ridge towards the sea.

It starts with a rather hard and technical climb but soon gets onto a compact single track. After a while you get onto a rough fireroad taking you down towards the tunnel where you will be guided onto a flat and compact trail again. This trail will take you through the woods on a nice bench cut until you once again are out on the rough fire road.

Then you are faced with a steep climb before you again find yourself on a super singletrack in the forest. The trail feels almost endless with a variation of compact easy trail and some technical and looser sections.

When you reach Monte Carparo and start on the descent, keep right after the first downhill. It is steeper and more difficult than the rest of the trail, but a better alternative than keeping straight.

Access

From the tunnel that separates Perinaldo and San Romolo, take the fire road towards north east on the San Romolo side. After about 500m you will find the entrance to the trail on your left side.

The sun is drying the trail as Runar is speeding through the grass.

Lots of great variation on this trail, but you have to pedal to get to it.

Bjørn Herbrand Tretterud rated Le creste very good. Fin-fin sti med god flyt! En «trille-Bakke» som selv ikke el-sykkelen greier, barn trenger også hjelp til å få sykkele opp. Ellers en veldig fin tur👍 18.may.2023
