Molden north side

Marifjøra, Luster, Vestland fylke, Norway
5.3km|4m ◢ ◣ 947m|12.07.2017

Description

From the parking you start the uphill to the top of Molden at 1100m. The uphill is a little bit like hike-and-bike, it depends on the conditions of the trail.

At the start of the downhill there can be some snow on the trail. The first 3/4 of this track is between easy/flow and some steeper and technical sections. This can be ride by everyone with middle bike skills.

The last 1/4 of the trail is very technical, you need more advanced bike skills.

Parts of this trail were stages of the 80/20es 2015.

Access

When you drive from RV 55 from Hafslo to Marifjøra go right the dirt road up to the parking.

If you park your car there you have to bike up the street from Marifjøra and the dirt road again at the end of your tour.

Colin Reitz rated Molden north side epic. Quite an adventure! The uphill can be ridden in the lower part, in the upper part you have to push and partly carry the bike. I recommend to ride the trail only as an experienced rider. Often there are steep and technical sections, the lower part just before the end is a very technical singletrail, also with steep sections. But you can always push the bike.1.aug.2023

Markus Finholt rated Molden north side very good.

Eneas Hållsten rated Molden north side very good. Technical and demanding trail, varying all the way down. Great practice if you're not already a pro, either way: a lot of fun!18.aug.2019
