Eilat Mountains, Be'er Sheva, South District, Israel
9.9km|28m ◢ ◣ 642m|10.08.2016

Description

The city of Eilat at the southern most point of Israel offers plenty of attractions around its tropical sea: water sports, scuba diving and more... but look around and if you're a mountain biker the mountains will be calling out to you. Raham trail isn't an official bike trail (its based on hiking routes) but became one of the best Enduro trails in the country. It has a couple of small climbs but overall offers about an hour of high action riding with some great desert landscapes.

There are almost no option to cut the trail in the middle, so ride careful and easy.

Getting back to city of Eilat can be done with another 15km of easy XC riding.

Access

The trail starts right off road 12 along the Egypt border. You can take the bus to Ovda or arrange a shuttle, the drive is about 15-20 minutes from the city of Eilat. Some bus drivers will stop for you right on the trail head, or a few hundred meters before - careful when riding that small bit of road as local drivers might be surprised by the presence of cyclists.
